Camping with the Allen's

Camping at Starve Hollow

We love Starve Hollow Campground! We had so much fun camping and playing at the park. The weather was too cool to swim on the beautiful beach, but we are definitely going back.

Grandpa's 80th Birthday Party

Grandpa and his twin sister just celebrated their 80th Birthday! They had a wonderful party. We took advantage of the fact that everyone was dressed nicely, and took lots of pictures.

April and May 2009

I had a wonderful Mother's Day. Daddy, Mallory, and Morgan took me to the park and then to a yummy dinner. We have been very busy ever since Mother's Day because we sold our motorhome and bought a fifth wheel camper and truck. We camped last weekend for the first time and I did not want to come home. We had a great time with 3 other families at Paynetown. The new fifth wheel has a slide which makes all the difference in the world. Life is good!!!

Happy 34th Anniversary To My Role Models

Tomorrow my parents will be happily married for 34 years. I only pray that I can maintain a family, a career, and a partner in life with as much dignity as they have. My parents are my role models! Thanks for giving us such high standards to live by. Thanks for loving us and each other through good times and bad times.

The Great Outdoors

The sunshine makes everything better! We had an amazing 80 degree weekend. Baseball games, camping, bike riding, mushroom hunting, who could ask for a better weekend. We had a blast with the Hardins, Frileys, and Robertsons at Paynetown. All the kids ran wild and played so well together. The only difficult part about bedtime was keeping the kids awake long enough to wipe the blood and dirt off of them. We cannot wait to go back!!

We are the Owls, the Mighty Mighty Owls

Today was a beautiful day for baseball! Gavin, Mallory, and Morgan are having the best time playing at DS Park. Morgan thinks that she is on the team too. She wanted to run and play with them at practice today. I am nervous about the first game because she will want to play and will be devasted when we tell her no. Maybe the grandparents can entertain and distract her.=)

Snow Days

After playing in the snow we decided that we would check out The Wonder Lab. We had a blast with our friends Will, Gavin, and Brady. If you have not gotten the opportunity to visit the Wonder Lab you should. We had a wonderful time touching and playing with everything. We had such a wonderful time that we bought a one year pass.

Weekend Fun

We had a fun filled weekend! Friday night the four of us went bowling. That was a lot of fun! Ask Brad about the bet we made - it was great! Sunday we had a birthday party for Daddy. We made a cake and of course we had to test it. We also tried to get all of the kids to sit on the couch for a photo, and as you can see that wasn't as successful as we had hoped. Then we played hair-do and we all had ponytails on top of our heads. I love my girls!

Our Anniversary

Brad surprised me with a cruise for our 5th anniversary. He told me on January 2nd and we left on the 8th. Of course the girls had to stay home, but they tried to stow away in our suitcase. We had a wonderful, warm, and relaxing time together. Our excursion was probably my favorite part of the trip. We had the opportunity to go snorkeling which was AWESOME and we were taken on the catamaran to a private beach. Brad wanted to hide out when they called us to head back to our carnival fun ship. He insists that he could live the life of those people because all he would need is a pair of shorts and some flip-flops. It was a great get away - I just think that it is going to be really difficult for Bradlee to top this anniversary surprise!

Four Generations

Today my Grandma would be 80 years old. She was a very special lady. She was extremely talented at many different things. She was an amazing cook. She painted as a hobby and created many beautiful pictures that hang in all of our homes. AND she always thought of others first. She sent a card for every occasion. She would even send a card thanking you for the card that you sent her. I can only hope that my girls will get some of her wonderful characteristics especially, her heart.
